About this Course

This class emphasizes advancing shooting form, consistency, and accuracy. Archers will participate in targeted drills to strengthen alignment, follow-through, and control. Mental training, goal-setting, and team-based activities are integrated into each session to support the full development of both skill and confidence. Archers will leave this class with refined shooting technique, improved accuracy, and greater understanding of mental management in the sport. They’ll gain the confidence and skill set necessary to progress to higher levels of instruction or competitive shooting opportunities. Intermediate. Completion of Explore Archery, Archery Summer Camp, or Beginning Archery is required prior to registration. Archery is an inclusive sport open to all ages, genders, and abilities. Instruction is led by Coach Chris Dorow, an experienced Level 4 Olympic Archery Coach with over 20 years of teaching and coaching experience. Coach Chris is involved with multiple JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) programs and has coached athletes to national and international success—including a Gold Medal winner at the Tokyo Paralympic Games. His instruction emphasizes precision, focus, and mental discipline, both on and off the range. Participants must pre-register and meet prerequisite experience levels. Please email Emily at eredgate@parkeronline.org with any questions regarding class placement or eligibility. Indoor sessions are Recurve-only. Equipment is provided if needed. A $5 equipment fee will be collected each session to cover maintenance and replacement of damaged equipment.
